Live Connected

In order to live life to its fullest, we believe we need to be relationally connected to other people. At SVA Church we have many options to help you find your people.

Experience Transformation

Nobody is perfect, but everybody is in process. We know that we were created to experience real transformation, more than a self-help program. At SVA Church we experience deep change from the inside out!

Change your World!

God wired us to connect with other people not only to change our lives but to help other people too! At SVA Church we know we can accomplish more together than alone.

Our Story

Image

SVA Church officially began November 7th, 1999 in the cafeteria of Opstad Elementary School in North Bend, WA. There were nine families that formed the launch team with our founding pastor, Monty Wright. The passion of Pastor Monty and SVA Church is to reach the unchurched and de-churched of the Snoqualmie Valley with the relevant, life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
SVA's heart has always been to reach people as they are, wherever they are.
After outgrowing Opstad Elementary School, the growing community moved to Mount Si High School in Snoqualmie, until finally purchasing and remodeling the current campus in Fall City.

Valley residents, as well as "Eastsiders" and "Seattleites," have responded to this message in SVA's fun, casual, and friendly atmosphere. From the first year, our church family grew and made a positive impact, and we've continued to make an impact in our community and the world, knowing that the best is yet to come!

At SVA Church, you matter, you belong, we see you, we think differently, theres room for you.

The SVA Way

Every Church has their unique culture. This is the way we roll at SVA!

1. We Are Creative
We believe church should be a fun and creative experience, so we are willing to do and try different things in order to make Jesus famous in a positive way. While we are orthodox in our beliefs, we are unorthodox in our practice so that people will find their way back to God.

2. We Are Prayerful
At SVA we pray like it depends on God, and work like it depends on us. We want to be great at living out the great commandment and the great commission. We strive to make the name of Jesus famous in our generation.

3. We Are Relevant
We believe that if you want to reach people no one is reaching, you have to do things no one is doing. A church that stays within its four walls isn’t a church at all. We don’t go to church because we ARE the church. The church is not a noun, it’s a verb. An action verb.

4. We Are Graceful
We want to be known more for what we are for than what we are against. We celebrate each person as invaluable and irreplaceable in the eyes of God because no one can worship God like you or for you. Like Jesus, we love people when they least expect it and least deserve it.

5. We Are Safe
We know that in order for you to step out in faith you need to be sure that there is a safe place to land in case things don’t work as planned. Because we are a safe place, we would rather see you fail forward than never try at all. Therefore, we view what we do as an experiment.

6. We Are Hopeful
We hope to be apart of the God-dream that is inside of you, and we hope that you will become a part of the God-dream He has given us at SVA! We see ourselves as a community where people boldly step into the dream God has for them and go for it!

What We Believe

What We Believe About the Bible:

We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is verbally inspired by God, infallible and is His revelation to humanity for salvation. The Scriptures serve as the authority and foundation for Christian living.

2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21

About God:

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Genesis 1:26; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19.

About Man:

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but as the result of sin, he is lost and powerless to save himself.

 Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 2:7-3:19; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12-21;Romans 6:23

About Jesus and Salvation:

We believe that the only hope for man is to believe in Jesus Christ, the virgin-born Son of God, who died to take upon Himself the punishment for the sin of mankind. We believe further in the bodily resurrection of Jesus from the dead. It is by receiving Him as Lord that man is made spiritually alive. This begins a relationship with the living Savior.

John 1:12; John 3:3-7; John 5:24; Ephesians 2:8-10; Hebrews 9:11-28

About Eternity:

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost, the eternal conscious existence of all men either in heaven or hell, and in divine judgments, rewards and punishments. We believe, as well, that Jesus Christ will return in person to earth in power and glory.

John 5:29; Acts 1:11; 1 Corinthians 3:11-15; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58; 2 Corinthians 5:6-10; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 2 John 8; Revelation 19-20

About the Holy Spirit:

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells those who have received Christ for the purpose of enabling them to live righteous and godly lives. Both the gifts and fruit of the Spirit are a continuing part of God's plan for His Church. It is God's will that each believer be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Galatians 3:2; ; Romans 8:5-9; Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Ephesians 4:7-12; Ephesians 5:18.

About the Church:

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ and is composed of all those who, through belief in Christ, have been spiritually regenerated by the indwelling Holy Spirit. The mission of the Church is worldwide evangelism on the one hand, and the nurture and discipling of Christians on the other. We believe in the ordinances of baptism and The Lord's Supper.

Matthew 28:18-20; Matthew 26:26-30; Mark 16:15; Romans 6:3-4
